This is so well written and fun to read. So many of us encounter sandpaper people so we easily relate to the frustration and angst that comes with dealing with them. So well done.

Oh yes, I know many sandpaper people. I tolerate them but they do go "against my grain." Good name for a certain type of individual.
Para 1: CONSIDER removing extra spaces after (show.) and (tree) to make the paragraph more cohesive.
Nice story, I think I would feel better too, after getting that off my chest.

Very well written work. It did have the Anapestic tetrameter rhythm and I found myself almost humming.

This poem made me giggle as I thought back to the sandpaper men that have passed through my life. The only thing I would say is it is in the wrong category. It should be under poetry and not stories. Good luck in the contest and thank you for sharing. Have a great weekend.
