God's all redeeming grace. Indeed it is the one thing that saves us. It is undeserved, for we are not capable in and of ourselves to save ourselves by any power that we might possess. We must humble ourselves and seek his mercy in order to save ourselves. Those too full of themselves and their self appointed importance, will miss out again, and again.

There's an effective aggression to this, giving the second stanza a strong contrast against the calmness and solace of the first one. You do a good job of showing man's failings.

He is the Light at the End of the Tunnel of which each and every one of us must pass. Some of us will pay a higher toll for the roads taken that damaged that which was a pure soul.
