You have the problems on earth today all summed up in your poem about what's lost. Well done. I worked for an editor who said an ellipsis is space dot space dot space dot space.

Thank you Verna for reviewing, and for your suggestion. (I hadn?t heard or seen that before.)

The Chicago Manual of Style is her go-to book.

Thank you. Yes, I looked it up, and saw the Chicago style manual. Here in Australia, we generally don't add the spaces, which apparently is acceptable here. It is considered to be a style preference, rather than a rule either way.

Excellent entry for the 2-8-2 writing prompt contest. Good syllables count and connection between lines. Nice presentation and imagery.

You speak volumes on this post. They are hard to find. Too many people are in a rut. Smiles are like pulling teeth. I do not think you could buy a smile from some people. The world needs a change. Thank you for posting this great awareness post.

Thanks so much Carolyn. Yes, you are right, unfortunately. I guess we can each just do our little bit, and hope there is a ripple effect. I am glad you liked this one.

This 2-8-2, Join the Search, has the proper formatting and calls upon all the readers to do what each can do to bring these needed elements out of hiding.

Though I am not a poet or writer one can feel the writers compassion and empathy for the state of the world. More people need to read and ponder. Good luck in the contest my friend.

Thank you for your concern dear friend. Yes, my husband and I are well after a few hiccoughs. We took the van over to WA, the grandies were close contacts for Covid, returned home and George, my husband got Covid but I didn't! All good now. Hugs Franky

That?s good (for you, not for him). Stay well. My husband had it last week and being the kind person he is(!) shared it, so I have it now. But not too badly thankfully.
