It's Me Again, Lord

A prayer, which I trust the Lord won't mind me sharing.

This was a beautifully written prayer, expressing many of the things I've been asking the Lord. I can understand how Christians can have different views about things (not specifically spelled out in His Word), but I can't understand how anyone can claim your name and show hatred to others.

Thank you Verna. I feel very strongly about the things I wrote, but I feel a little be uncomfortable about entering a prayer in a contest. I hate to think God rates our prayers. Then I think maybe writing it down would help someone else. I do appreciate what you are saying. It is good to know we're on the same wave link. I appreciate the six stars.

Your prayer contest entry reads well, Beth. Your words
are straight from your heart. Yes, prayer strengthens
one's faith, even if s/he believes God knows it all ahead
of time. You pointed out several important issues in your
prayer. I like the way you added, you would leave the dialogue
open.
Thanks for sharing, and best wishes, Jan

A honest prayer and list to be grateful for. You are right he is always there and waiting for us to ask for help. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings and the contest.

Love your prayer! And yes, we never "end" our prayer after all, Paul said to "pray without ceasing." You start with a prayer that all moms can relate to and then you progress to the prayers for the world. And I totally relate to your question: "How can Christians be so angry at those of us who have a different perspective?" It makes me wonder about that Idaho pastor who had such hateful things to say about gays. It seems he hasn't met Jesus.

his heart to every be back to normal. (ever)

Thank you, Helen. My son really did give me a scare yesterday and I was pleading with God. He spent the night in the hospital, but for now he seems better. Nothing gets me more alarmed that knowing I could lose a child.

Oh my! I wasn't sure if that referred to something in the past. I'll join you in prayer for Don's healing. You've already lost your first baby so I understand your feelings. 🙏🙏💖

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. I could pray this prayer. I have had those very thoughts. Thank you for writing them down for me. Good luck with the contest.

when it seemed there was little hope for his heart to every be back to normal. (comma needed after 'seemed' & 'ever???')

I'm sorry when do things without asking your guidance. (when I do???)

Thank you for the review and help with the spags. I feel a little uncomfortable posting some so personal in a contest.

This is just the way I chat with God on a daily basis. I know He listens. When I lost my son, it was hard to let go and let God handle it. But, in the end, that's all I could do. All the luck in the contest!!!

Thank you so much for the review and comments. I've almost lost this son a few times. He has a heart condition. I did lose a baby and I don't know that I could have gotten through it without God being there for me. I appreciate the six stars.

Great prayer for the contest. An emotional plea to God. The section and new idea I liked best was:
Lord, I know you want us to pray for our friends and loved ones, even though you already know their situation, and you can handle things without our input. Still, you want us involved, because it strengthens our faith.

That's a very interesting angle. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad your son seems out of the woods. A virtual six.

Thank you, Ted. I feel a little uncomfortable putting a prayer in a contest. I'm afraid by doing so makes it seem less sincere, but I do mean every word of it.
