Really, Father?

Those open-ended prayers can be dangerous!

Oh dear, you had me cracked up, Debs! I'm sure God was, too. I'm sure things will get better, and you'll both love this adorable dog, (reverse name, God) that He sent you. This is such a fun story, and the fact that it's true, makes it funnier. Love it. One nit, at the beginning:
'but not a German Sheperd puppy'? - Shepherd...
Good luck in the contest, I really enjoyed it. Love and hugs, Sandra. xxx
You never did tell me what the favour you asked me for was. Let me know. xxxx

Thank you so much! My apologies for the tardiness of this rep[ly - I've been off FS for a bit over a month. But I'm back and do appreciate your time in reading and commenting on the story.

I like your honest approach in this prayer. Yes, a puppy does take a serious bite out of one's day. But he's adorable! I hope he's just what your hubby needs to help him get moving and healing. Blessings. Carol

You're welcome, Deb. I've been down with Covid, so am very far behind in reviewing. Hope you & hubby are doing better. Have a blessed week.

Awww. But your German Shepherd puppy is adorable! I think he will be such a blessing and the means of answering your prayers! Maybe all three of you will go for walks? Love that you call the Lord, Abba!
Best wishes in the contest!

I've shot him down every tie (time)
And there are some FS garbled characters.

Helen, you're always so helpful. :) Thank you.
YOu just nearly got an answer from the cat! lol. I stepped away from my work station for a second and came back to a reply section full of zeros and quotation marks! lol.
Blessings to you and yours and hugs, too.

Well, Debora, you're not going to li kk e me for my saying this, but the puppy does look awfully nice. Well, lovely, in fact. I've had dogs most of my life so I'm the wrong person here. I loved your little address to God. Good luck Ulla:)))
Ps, some strange letters popped up twice in your piece.

    Thank you, Ulla.
I'm a dog/cat person, as well. We have a 14-year-old Black Mouth (or Nose, maybe) Curr and a cat. They're not really fans of the new pup. lol. But we're getting used to him and his anticks. I do believe we'll be fine. :)
God is good, even when He gets weird and dows things like giving you a pup. :)
    Blessings,

Is this what they call a blessing in disguise? I think it could be. I do hope your prayer gets answered.

'She's planning on publishing several anthoogies in 2022' >> I wondered what the L had gone missing in your profile note. Lol.

'I'm not a fool ?¢?" >> the FS gremlins have got at you here I think. There is another instance later on too.

AUGH! The grimlins! lol. Thank you. I'll get over there and fix that first thing in the morning.
Feel free to submit to those anthologies. :) I promise I'll do a better job editing there. lol

It's amazing how things come up in our life at the right time. Good thing is we know that the Lord, our God, is with us every step of the way and He will never leave us, nor forsake us. I hope things work out for you with the new puppy. We ended up with a carport with give new kittens in it. We are dealing with cats that are older and upset in the house. I've been doing a lot of praying lately too! Best wishes in the contest. love and blessings,Teri

Thank you! And 'older pet' is part of our issue, too. Our dog is 14 and cat is 5. They're not very receptive to this bouncy, biting little addition to our home. lol
I havne't been here in a while, but plan to pop over to the clubs and see what you've put up there. I look forward to writing ith you again soon.
AUTH! I just caught Max (pup) eating my shoe!!!!!! lol
    Blessings and hugs,

Wow, Deb this is so funny, and you can shovel your experience under wishful thinking. I like the alert and humorous tone that accompanies your rant with Almighty:) Thank you for sharing and god luck with your writings and the contest, you have a good entry.

I rant to our God a lot, I'm afraid. But He already know I'm feeling it, so... Last time I threw a fit with Him, He gave me a song - start to finish with all the acocmpaniment. It 'wrote itself' in about 10 minutes. Gotta love a God like that!
    Blessings and hugs,
    Deb
PS How are the COVID restricitons up there? They've all but vanished down here, at least in rural areas.
