There is so much of real quality that these youngsters miss when fiddling around with their various technological devices. How much more important genuine human interaction is.

Yes in the end relationships are what's important and memorable. Gadgets can never replace that closeness. What will the memories be for today's children? Gadgets and organised play dates. They won't ever even know what they've missed. Well written.

Hi Jay, it's like that for adults as well
my sweet friend...
they don't talk to each other as well...if someone passes away...they text to tell the family and friends...
when eating meals...everyone is either texting someone...
or playing games...or watch a movie...their is no family communication...as far as oldtimers go...if you want them to notice you...just open your wallet...so sad...
love your poem sweet guy...very well written...love Linda xxoo

Hi Jay,
I guess when we come right down to it... all we have are the memories, whether good, bad, or indifferent?
I liked the little story woven through this poem... and also the message about 'gadgets'... I'm so with you there my friend.
Enjoyed reading your poem, thanks a heap for sharing this one with us.
With our thoughts we create...
the real in reality.
Kind regards,
James.

This poem, Talking with Grandpa, is one that reminds me of the two sets of folks I know. There are those with a good connection with grandparents and where they come from, and those who are end all and be of their lives.
