So the journey carries on, even though you've done a first rate job on the concluding chapter of this "gentle" romp through the grassy lands of adventure, beautifully written friend Mike, you are the versatile one, well done, blessings Roy

What a good ending, Mike. I'm glad there is another one coming, I don't think I've ever read a 'part 2' before a 'part one' before! I'm glad there is more coming, because I've grown to really like your characters. I had to laugh at Roz saying, . "I feel like I've done too much chatting, way too much thinking, and not enough violent, unhinged face-rearranging." I love that girl!! LOL. Well done, a very enjoyable story. :)) Sandra xx

Thanks so much! I would have done them the right way round if I hadn't seen some things I wanted to change. I've read novels out of order before (unintentionally) and quite enjoyed it, so hopefully it'll be fun :-)

This seems like a good conclusion to the story, Mike. It's well written, the dialogue is good. Since I haven't read the previous chapters, I have no idea what the "job" was. I will have to find time to go back to the beginning.

I surely hope the ending of this post is a hint of the sequel you're going to write about The Companions. I, for one, and eager to read it. I enjoyed reading this. I not only enjoy reading your post, but always learn from them.

Thank you, Barbara :-). The next part is underway, as we find about about their royal commission. Next up, though, will be the previous story that sets the Companions up for this one.

What I like about your writing are the funny remarks you stick in throughout the entire chapter. It makes it much more fun to read than just some dry, serious writing. I enjoyed the whole story. Nicely done.

"Wizard at Large" is a chapter from a fantasy book called "A Penny for You Fought." This chapter features two sections in which the work of a small pugnacious team to reduce the influence of dark magic is hinted at through conversations peppered with puns and witticisms set over a tone of roguish readiness to fight. The I-narrator of this section (and presumably of the whole book) is funny and likes to chat, two features that are hard to wrap into a tough guy. I hope to have the opportunity to further familiarize myself with this tale of benevolent rascals.
