Excellent entry for the Senryu Poetry writing prompt contest. Finally a well written senryu. All the others in the voting booth are terrible. Good syllables count and connection between lines. Nice presentation.

Lots of drama within this poem. The raging waters are quite rapid. I think everyone would like to have moments like these once in a while. I like the poem and the painting.
