A country gal that enjoys the simple pleasures of life. I enjoyed your happy place depicted here. My favorite: Pizza night watching old films in black and white. Sending you my best today as always, and my best for the vote.

Yes, I do live in a happy place and I love my pine forest and chestnut woods

We do have some sad pages in the history of my town.. Last year
14 people were killed in a cable car accident. The disaster was on global news.

We live at 700 m and we have two bridges ...one is a suicide bridge.

It's high 60 meters and despite the barriers provided by the council to stop people from jumping, several have climbed it and killed themselves..the last one was in 2018 a 42 years old man (sigh)

    Glad you enjoyed the read.

This is the bridge and the news report on the guy's death.

I'm sorry. Most places have something or another. My husband and I lived near Niagara Falls for seven years. Blessings.

I just wanted to point out that even in small peaceful dwellings there are dark happenings ..

I pass on that bridge each day doing my early morning walk.

Once I met a mamma deer and its doe foraging ...now that was an amazing moment.

Niagara Falls are mind blowing , its sad to think people jump there (sigh) .

    Take care!

Lovely image to go with your poem. I did have one question after reading it: if sad country music makes you happy, what does happy country music make you feel like?

I don't listen to happy country music....just sad, gloomy country.

I also adore sad Greek music, the sound of the bouzouki I love.

Thank you for reviewing my wee poem

    Keep safe!
