Great contest entry. Love the picture and it is so true that the noise of the world often drowns out a lot what can be heard from parents and grandparents --- but it never drowns out what they see. You sound like a wonderful grandparent influence. Good luck in the contest. ann

Well, thank you so much! My wife would debate your use of the word "wonderful", but I appreciate it. Being the father of 3 daughters, I find their boys a bit difficult, but girls in their teens are too. Life is good. Thanks for stopping by my place.

The picture is great. They look like a fine group of children. And yes, you want them to go in the right direction. I enjoyed reading your story. My grandchildren called their grandfather PawPaw also. They loved that man so dearly. Since his death, things have changed dramatic. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you! We are indeed Blessed with daughters who have been loving and responsible parents, so the kids reflect that. Three are now teenagers and so the mood has changed, of course. Your story reminds of the importance of enjoying every day to the fullest because those days will not last forever. Think I will go hug my wife...
