Awe, thank you my dear friend for this wonderful review for an oldie that I was kind of proud of. Meter wise, it could use a little help, as many of my old ones could in my opinion, but I loved the ending of it.
However, you are just the sweetest thing for reviewing a few of mine today. Thanks so very much, my very dear and sweet friend.

I like the message of you temptation poem. We do face them often. you used time well to show the aging and the changes we face in temptations. The ending was a surprise and made me chuckle. Good job.

Laughing out loud, yet such a serious subject. Raised in Catholic School I frequently hear that angel on my shoulder. I think she saved me from a bunch of trouble! All the best to you!

In Catholics school the nuns would tell us we had a guardian angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other...
It was OUR job to say "No no no!" To that devil!

I love that line too, but I heard it years ago and thought this would be a good place to use it. I have missed you the last few days, and was going to write to you if I didn't hear from you. I am laughing right now, as the last review from someone also said the exact same thing about their catholic school warning about the devil and Angel. And the funny part is I have many reviews for this and then two in a row. Anyway thanks Sweetie for the lovely review, and I am so happy to see that sweet little face with your name underneath. Hah! Those Catholic schools sure indoctrinated us all with the same angel/devil on the shoulder scenario. I used to be afraid of looking in the mirror--wondering if either one could "materialize" and be seen! Yikes!

Thank you Mike! I wanted to get a message out there without it being so serious. That's why I added that little risqué part at the end, to add some humor as well. After this contest is done, I would like to become a fan, so it reminds me to read more of the people who have been so great in reviewing mine. Yet I have to wait until it ends later today. That little voice has been telling me yes yes yes about doing more of that. Thanks for the great review my friend, as I truly appreciate it

You are very kind, but there were times I answered to the conscience of the Holy Spirit, "no no no no no". I maybe didn't say that but I might as well have, because I ignored Him terribly. My religion was so strict growing up, that we were told no drinking, playing cards, dancing, television, movies, etc etc etc....And there was a point that I said I'm going to Hell anyway and everything that is fun or pleasing seems to be a sin. But they don't frown on things like they used to, as they turned many people into alcoholics. But I came back to God and as a Christian, I have found that I am so pleased with His way now, like when God led me to this site to write my poetry. I ask God before I get up in the morning to lead me in the path that he wants me to be on, keep my family and me safe from harm and evil and let me be a blessing to everyone I am in contact with that day. God turned this one around, because I am the blessed one by friends like you and so many others here, and LOL, I think that the only sin I'm committing now is that I spend way too much time doing this because I love it so much!

I once wrote a poem that said in effect, that whenever I was tempted to do wrong, I could hear my mothers voice telling me I had better not do that or face her punishing wrath. Which of course, corrected me and put me back on the right path.
