I nearly died laughing at some of these creative uses of cremains. Please have me cremated... but it's a bit too soon for me to have thought up a suitable use for my own cremains.
Your story carries so many interesting strands and even though discussing death it is not at all macabre. Religion, history, famous people, inventive uses, humour... a wonderful write.

I laugh easily and often and nothing offends me except cruelty, prejudice, war, wilful stupidity, vandalism, littering... the list goes on.

What an interesting article on cremation. I really do like the idea of being cremated. It takes up a lot less space. Perhaps if food continues to be an issue there will be burial plots with vegetables growing. Thanks for the mention gal, I'm honored.

Thank you for reviewing, Tom! You're most welcome for the mention. I love it when we read each other's works and it gets us thinking and inspired to write about a topic! Thanks for the inspiration. Actually, I was thinking of it because my mom said she'd prefer cremation but my dad was of the idea that wasn't allowed in his family. They spent so much on those funeral things and insurance and I hope it won't be a waste. The long term care insurance company sure doesn't want them to collect. Sigh. It's been a lot of phone calls lately. Hugs and blessings!
