Hahaha! The story is written perfectly, but what makes it hilarious, is the drawing. Sure, everyone will believe John...isn't an artist. This is listed as fiction, but could easily have happened. Best wishes in the contest.

Well, the guy tried. Next time he goes fishing, he needs to be prepared. I enjoyed reading your post. This was a great humorous poem. This is a classic. I had my daughter look at the picture, and she laughed her head off.

Haha... Yeah, right. Artists lie as often as fishermen, probably more so. He'd better not sign his picture and date it. Cool story about how fanatical fishermen get - fishing out of season is a no-no.

This was a fun little tale with a superb piece of artwork. I had to stop my youngest granddaughter as she went past to show it to her. Okay, she laughed - just a little. Otherwise, I think John's idea is BRILLIANT. With this kind of evidence, who can argue??!! Smart guy!
