You have done some deep and scholarly research here. Congratulations on that. The thing that amazes me about these early civilizations across the world is not how much they differ from each other in their folklore but how much similarity there is. So many of them, or instance feature an inundation tale like Noah's great flood. I think that says a lot about the nature of man as a species wherever he is found in the world.

Appreciate your thoughtful and insightful review. As you stated, many similarities in each one. Suppose it becomes a matter of what one chooses to believe. The deeper research has been quite an eye opener.

I think they are all metaphors really and not to be taken literally. Man's attempts to explain the inexplicable.
