That is a lovely poem. Like someone picking up a cushion from the sofa, just to get the scent of a loved one after they've left. It could apply to someone who's grieving or to someone whose spouse has gone away for a while.

This is a very sweet and romantic poem. In a poem this short, you need to make every word and syllable count, and you certainly do that. You were smart to write as much as you did in your preliminary line, as it enabled you to more fully explain and enhance your poem without violating the rules. Good luck in the contest.

I can relate to this - there's a special closeness to your partner's side of the bed - their shape in the mattress, their scent on the covers, their presence in atmosphere. I very much enjoyed your entry.
