Jay, everyone wants to be loved this way! Your heart's song, though sad, is so tremendous. I love it when you write about her...
Blessings to you, my sweet friend,

And Jay, I'm so glad that you do, because they give me joy to read. You love for your late wife flows through every word. I can understand your need for writing these poems. All best, Ulla:)))

This is most amazing! I came across this poem today, it captured my heart. I figured the author is 97 years young, in deep love, in love with his long time lover - his wife who is no longer with him. I admire the author's mind and spirit, and a truly forever love affair! As the title says, love is eternal ! I am one who never doubt that love can last forever, and this poem is a proof. I am wondering what hormone is responsible for ever lasting love. I wish the author peace and healthiness.

What a beautiful, romantic and loving poem. I particularly enjoyed how you expressed your love through the lines, "When I was yours and you were mine," and "when you had me and I had you." The similar phrasing also helps to give your poem cohesion. As always, your poem flows smoothly, and your rhymes work perfectly. I was particularly impressed with "world" and "unfurled."

Thank you, once again, for sharing your beloved wife with us. I can tell your love for each other was true unconditional love. The way a marriage should be. I am sure your wife is smiling down at your poems.
Whin I was yours and you were mine. (When???)

It warms my heart when I read your tributary poems to your wife. Writing to, and about her keeps her memory fresh and alive. All of the Romantics on this site love reading poetry about undying love. Plus, writing about her helps us get to know her also.
Note: Whin I was yours and you were mine. ('When' I was yours...)

Oh, This is so sweet, Bill. What lovely verse to reflect the love you have for your wife. Your meter and rhyme was very well done and I enjoyed the words of love to your beloved. Well done. NAncy:)
