Good start and welcome aboard. The illustration is rather intriguing but doesn't make me think of any kind of love. The poem itself doesn't mention love lost between lovers--which the description is supposed to encompass. Instead, I look at that plume of smoke, read the poem, and think of soldiers, fearing for their lives, on the battle field.

It might be helpful to consider several illustrations for any entry to see which one seems to best express the topic you are writing about.

This is your first entry and you are to be congratulated just for entering.
Now, continue on--keep writing and submitting. Best wishes.

I appreciate the review and the suggestions! I will definitely work on the illustrations, as combining the two is a bit new to me. Thank you for the support!

Welcome to FanStory with your first posting.
Your words have emotional impact as the writer wonders what will happen after death, or lost love (for that too is a death). Is our ultimate destination the infinite space of nothingness? Possibly.
Your words force the reader to wonder about loss, space, and sad endings.
