Wow. This poem is one that I like to switch words & lines around to find different meanings. Does emptiness or anger cause pain that rages into fire. Or does anger and pain cause emptiness. Great choice of words.

Syllabically this is right on the button and the poem digs quite deeply into life's experiences resulting in a fine little philosophical gem just five lines in length.

No pains, no gains, pains turn to raging fire, as when the heart is cut deep, as you feel, and you find, nothing but your anger remains, all go empty, feeling is intense, you gain nothing for anger remains; well said, well done; post god speed more; positively encouraging editing, negatively not wording, forgiving errors of theist-good authors-writers. Your little doggy picture just stole my heart--what bliss.
Now to your 'Ashes of Anger' poem. It goes so well with the art work. Seems well-done.

Your contest entry is formatted in an interesting way, Mia.
I enjoyed reading it. I like the image, the use of colored
font, and the great, and true, message. Great job with the
style of cinquain.
Best wishes in the contest, Jan

I don't know much about cinquain poetry, but I did like your poem. I like the way you formatted and colored the words, too. It really emphasized your meaning. Thanks for sharing.
