Wendy! I felt the same way! Things are a little better with the "Touchless" car washes...but I used to irk my dad with my hysteria over long "arms" slapping suds at our car. It was petrifying! (I still don't take my car...that's something I delegate!)

I agree. It gets a hand wash with hose and bucket by me, more often than not. I dread going to a car wash, but it is quicker and probably a better wash, but I do hate and have a great fear of getting stuck in there. Thanks for your fun review.

Haha! This story reminded me of the time I was taking my sister home from church. Her car was in the shop. I stopped at an automatic carwash, which she had never been through before. Your story described her exactly. She was terrified. Your description of the sounds is perfect. Great story.

I fear those drive through car washes. There is no telling what would happen to me and my vehicle, and the building, if I were to go in one. I rather have a dirty car then go into one of those places. I enjoyed reading this poem. And I like the picture.

Having your car washed is a frightening experience. To sit calmly in a car and not feel some of the (swish-swash) actions of the water and brushes on the windows could definitely bring a catastrophic effect for sure.

Those things can be pretty loud and once you get in you are stuck waiting for it all to be over. I often think about the things that could go down while you are inside the car.

The writing of this story is of an excellent quality, except I find it slightly verbiose. I think perhaps the subject would have been more suited to a dribble Flash.

Improvement only comes when one continues to practice. You did do really well with it though and I did enjoy it. The 4 stars just felt right for me to give.

I can relate to this story. I always found the car wash fun but my Mom found it very claustrophobic. Great job summarizing those feelings. Good luck in the contest.
