You know what they say, if the first person that looks, buys; then you probably sold it too cheap. But if the deal makes everyone happy, it can only be a win, win. Thanks for sharing.

Ah, sad but probably true. We tried to counsel her differently, but our mother has a mind of her own. Thanks so much for cheering me on this amazing journey, Ric! I wanted to see if I could do it!

Brilliant! I love this poem. I also love the format of the poem you chose to write; it suits the theme/topic greatly. Love you as well, G-ma. You are an excellent poet.

I think you chose the right form to zip up your writes as the family home is sold to a new owner. Now it's time to turn the page. I hope you will print this book of poems. It will make a wonderful gift to your mother and family members.

I see you have one more poem to post.

So have I. Haven't started working on it yet.

Stay safe and blessed

Julia

Thank you, again, Julia! That would be fun to print a little book...I will have to look into that. (If you know of an easy way, I would love to know! :) Sending lots and lots of good wishes!

That sale went quick! While it is sad that the home is being sold, the one thing that is satisfying is that a young couple will have a wonderful home to have their own memories. The warmth of the former family that lived there can never leave its walls.
Best wishes,
Mary

Oh, Mary, thank you for the wonderful sentiment. Thanks, too, for coming along this journey with me. I didn't know if I could actually do it! I appreciate your support and encouragement more than you know.

Gosh, that was a quick sale... saving a painful drawn out process. The short, sharp lines suit the quick pace of the sale... and almost feel like allowing no room for emotion, buttoning it down or else you might cry.

Well done on completing your month of poems - an admirable feat.

Yes, absolutely. I am grateful Mom did not have to endure endless phone calls from realtors. Thanks for noticing the poem imagery--I hoped the 8-4-4-4 would look something like a zipper! My mother isn't really much for sentimentality; she is a get-it-done girl! Again, thank you for coming along for the ride this month! I just have one last little epilogue to post . . . you know me, hard to say goodbye! LOL

That must be bittersweet for you all. Obviously, none of your siblings wanted the house and your mom seems to not care so much about profit as she cares about who will love and care for this special house so full of precious memories. Thank you for sharing with this well crafted minute poem. Congrats on finishing the NaPoWriMo !!

Dear Helen, I cannot thank you enough for your journey with me this past month. Your support means so much! And you are right...Mom's biggest concern was to find someone who will appreciate the home and care for the yard. She is leaving it in MINT condition for them! She is also not much for sentimentality and told my siblings and me early on she would not sell to family. So, there you have it! I am going to post one last epilogue, and then my tour will be complete. Thank you again!!!
