That's a lovely one, and the fact that it is short compels one to think - and join you in appreciation of nature, being alert for all of Nature's hidden beauties. Well written.

Nature, in all its forms, but especially as water, is a guaranteed dose of oxytocin for which there is no known level of over dose. Water, like the sky above, is a constant changing scene of incredible, divine creative art. How blessed we are for this priceless gift!
Picture perfect - this could equally be titled, "Lakeside Heaven".

Yes, nature can bring you peace and there is no way to overdose on the beauty of nature like you could on pills. You are right about the title,
I am honored by the six star rating

I love nature, and agree it's beautiful... from a distance. Your words paint a picture much like your illustration, but where are the bugs? The sweat? The outdoor physical labour? Lol, just kidding, kind of. You have written a nice poem. Lovely!

Thanks for the review and all the stars, Sam. Yes, there are negative sides of nature but we should let the good sides rule.

This is a beautiful poem with a lasting sentiment. I share your feeling of calmness when I am near water, probably my favorite place to be.
This is creatively crafted. The words you so carefully chose to write, express a serene moment in time.
Thanks for sharing.

These are the perfect words to go with an idyllic picture. Peace by the waterside with a father and his son fishing. Nothing better than this! I know you didn't say it was a father and his son but I extemporized a little.
Thanks for the peaceful interlude.

Thanks very much for your continuing support, Jesse. No, I didn't say that, but I thought it was a father and son too. But I wanted the poem to be all inclusive. It could be a tomboy with her father.

Good morning, Joan.
Tomboys can be cool too!
I didn't think of that.
Have a lovely weekend!

'Lakeside Haven', is short, succinct and delightfully descriptive. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. I look forward to seeing your next post.

Yes, I think it's normal to to be near water and feel its peace and its calmness reach, even when the weather is wild and the sea is wind tossed and nasty looking, there's still a form of comfort about it. Well done Joan, blessings Roy
