Hunger echoes high
in sky as seagulls lament
till silent starfish
submits as supper, muffling

Those beautiful fluffy clouds. I would love to lie on those clouds and float throughout the universe. Without a care in the world. From an airplane, they look as if you could. My husband and I would talk about how nice it would be to lie there side by side on the clouds in the sky above the Rocky Mountains, for sure. Thank you for the post. I got lost in my mind thinking about them.

I like the alliterative "cotton candy clouds." The April clouds have been so dramatic lately. I wonder if the "black mountains" signify something ominous about to happen. They contrast the happy candy clouds.

It's a visual thing...at sundown usually the mountains or whatever is in the horizon is black. I have painted many paintings like that. I'm sorry that's not clear.
