How sad this really is, I think you're right, losing a child is possibly the worst thing that can happen to anyone I think, and I've been fortunate. We visited a mining town and saw the infant loss of life locally was historically horrendous, because of medical advances it's less likely, but still it happens way too much, beautifully written, blessings Roy

What a wonderful and very sad story about life traumas. It sounds like you have had a few hardships; so glad that things turned out better for you and your present wife. Life can be so unexpected. I sure hope you get to see your little girl who is now grown up.

Wow how sad. That is my fear all the time if l didnt trust God would take care of them. Then you go lose your mom then your wife what a blow below the belt. I feel so bad for you. Sad story but written well. Good luck

Wow! This is a powerful, heart wrenching, and emotional story, some parts of which I'm sure some FanStorians relate to. I lost a baby, and the next time I became pregnant, I had bad death dreams, and walked on eggshells. I can't begin to imagine how it felt to have a young child suffer and then pass. Your storytelling is direct, unpretentious, and relatable. I'm glad it ended on a happy and positive note. Best wishes in the contest.
