The Ukrainian soldiers are showing sacrificial commitment to and love for their country. They have been demonstrating their bravery over and over. Well written in this format. Its striking presentation and thought-provoking words are excellent.

Hello Gypsy, a timely poem. These soldiers fought valiantly. The soldiers of Ukraine are remarkable and so brave, and many of the Russian soldiers did not want to be there. Man destroying Man. When will it stop? War has no winners. Your poem reads and flows well.

I agree with you, most Russian soldiers are very young and don't even know what they are doing in Ukraine.... it's very sad, but mostly, I m sad about the poor Ukrainians who haven't done anything to deserve it . How sad is all this that is going on in our world! There are so many brave fighters and I can't even imagine the horrors they have seen and how worried they are for their families and vice-versa. God bless all of them alive and gone, who have been fighting or have fought the brave fight. Your words are a great tribute and I thank you for sharing this. I land that once spawned the Crimean war, (I'm not sure what that war was about either) that poem was created from the charge of the light brigade, in that very same war, an extreme folly was that charge. There is loss of Russian lives too, with mothers, fathers, siblings etc. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

A beautifully written tribute to the brave who continue to fight for their country, their lives, their existence . . .
I hope someday some of these brave men and women who have chosen to remain and fight will read a few of the hundreds of poems and songs and stories that have been written about them.
