This is a nice if sad poem. Selling a home is always sad especially when it comes after a death of a loved one. The poem has a nice rhythm and flows very well. Thanks for sharing this and have a great day

My daughter cried when we sold our family home and she never quite forgave us for it as her memories still lie there and it was a place she always felt she could return to. Time moves on and it can be cruel, I could identify with your words here, love Dolly x

It must be hard to face that kind of change. I never stayed at any place for too long so I never got attached to a "family home." But I can imagine it was a special place of refuge for your family. Hope the sale goes well. Good for you to take the April poetry challenge!!

It's the end of an era and quite a sad occasion when "It's time to sell our family home". The flood of memories is well represented in your poignant lines. I hope your Mom settles well in her relocation.
