Thanks for the shout-out, Roy. I could use the publicity! Your poem is lovely. It isn't easy to forgive, but as you write, it isn't our job to judge. God will take care of that. We can only pray that good will prevail. There is good in the Russian people who don't war and upheaval either. Your write about the news reports. It's hard to know what's true from them sometimes. They are rushed to get the story out or may be biased. Great thought about impossible things being achieved through prayer. Excellent AABB rhyme use of internal rhyme with trees and seas. Great use of alliteration as with postings and postulate. This is so meaningful and timely. judi

Amen! We are not supposed to judge anyone- that is God's job to judge. We are supposed to pray for them and encourage others and hopefully they will see the light. I pray for Putin's heart to be softened where he can see what he has done and praying he will stop the war and evils he has done. May God bless you my friend and brother in the Lord!Teri

I've done that, and it didn't change the person, but it softened my outlook. I agree with your poetry and am glad to read your opinion. It is not our task to judge. Indeed, to judge someone comes so easy with people. It sounds more like a gossip, a common thing they do. Maybe because they got nothing else to spend their idle time with. I myself have been the constant target of the gossip and I really don't mind them because it's God I believe in. He is the only fair judge who knows everything. Hmm, I don't think you have the entire judging think right. We were made to judge, to categorize to differentiate. King David judges as well as others and asked God for wisdom in making judgements. Jesus taught people to make wise and righteous choices, to do that, one must judge one path better than another, judge the actions of people who are doing wrong and not to follow. Judge which son is following God's path. There is even judgement in your notes: "judge, Putin and his unfortunate decision to invade Ukraine"
No, no, I have to disagree my friend. I think you may have misinterpreted what you've read.
The poem: I would look over some of the lines for smoothness of the rhymes. Some feel a little forced.

I think your confusing wisdom with judgement, Solomon was able to discern who?s baby the mother was In 1Kings 3:16:28
If one doesn?t have access to ALL the facts, how then does one know how to judge accurately without bias? I?m not angry, merely perplexed that you don?t understand that, human beings make judgements when they are really opinions, from questionable information, forgiveness sets the forgivor free, not the forgiven. The people already broken, and that kind of heart in changing does not come easy. His path his set as others before him, which does not call for judgement from anyone, because Judgement is not something that can apease him or his victims, as what he has done has been done for all to see, regardless of opinions, and the reasons around the opinions. His judgement, like you adhere to, may come from a higher place.
There has been men like Putin all our lives, and they always fail,
even though he is in focus because of Europe, and so will he. That is only a concilation...and will comet pass.
