Wow! I really enjoyed this presentation. I can recall a few fires that I stood by and watched when I was a kid. It was so exciting to see the arrival of the firetrucks. We were too naive to consider the degree of danger at the time. You painted a vivid picture and I felt as if I was coming along for the ride. The timing and rhythm was good. Thanks for sharing this poem because we owe so much to our firefighting heroes for the commitment they make each day.

Thank you so much! I was practically raised in a firehouse. My Grandpa being the chief then my uncle next. I married a firefighter/paramedic and there have been way too many close calls.
