This was a very well-put-together poem, equipped with beautiful photos of nature at her best. I loved the first stanza; it reminded me of myself. I like to stay behind closed doors and drawn shades, but once out, I really enjoy myself.

This was lovely. The imagery was so vivid I really felt like I was talking a walk along that pond, all the senses were engaged with this poem. I loved the personification of the blue jay and wondering what makes him ornery.

That old bluejay has to learn that the world does not belong to him or to you, but as something wonderful to be shared by all forms of life, including the vegetation. It is wonderful to be able to commune with nature and enjoy the bountiful life that exists in a place coincidentally named Miller's Creek. (Miller is my last name.)

I imagine Walden Pond was quite the same for Thoreau... A slip away from ties that bind to visit nature and find peace in the beauty there! My favorite place for prayer and quiet contemplation is quite like this! Beautifully shared!

You are fortunate to have this special place, just a hike away, to refresh and rejuvenate your spirit. Blue jays are bold entertaining birds. Where I live they are at their loudest in summer. When I sit on the porch chatting with my grandkids, they interrupt with their own chatter. LOL The deer and her fawns must have been a magical sight. Maybe it's my imagination, but I think wild life has become bolder since the outbreak of the pandemic. Foxes have become common visitors to backyards, day or night. Even bald eagles are seen.
