Hi, nomi338,

Just stopping by after your kind words about my short story.

I like your poem, and I'm not much of a poetry person. The image selected is a good one, and I like the rhythms and rhyming in the verse. It also appears to have been appreciated by a lot of other people. Good! I wish you the best in the future.

Sincerely,

J. P.

If I hadn't read the notes, I probably would have been looking for hidden meaning. LOL! Seriously, this skillfully written poem has plenty of UNhidden meaning. The devout can become weak and be led astray. I like where the story led--to the blessed grandson.

Thank you. Here of late I have had my sleep interrupted by inspirational poems that seem to come to me out of nowhere.

It is an interesting story about Lee and he got that name from the family. Lee is the family name. Interesting. Good job! Exceptional work! Thank you for sharing! I like it.

Your poem is well-written, great rhyming and easy to read. Although, it is fiction, it is something that is often repeated in families. I am glad that you gave it a happy ending, although their son was gone, they had a grandson to enjoy.

I did not end it that way at first, but thank God my wife said it needed a better conclusion. Thank you for your review comments.

LOL, I had no idea where you were going with this and when I finished it I thought, dang, this is his grandson, and then I read your note, you had me. Even if it is not your story, it is still a good story poem! Good work. Terry.

Thank you Terry. I read it to my wife and she said that it did not seem complete. She said that people would wonder whatever happened to the son. Realizing that she was right, I decided to add a concluding segment. Even with that there is room for further developments.

Aw, Nomi, that was superb! I loved the son and grandson's names, that was really clever. I remember when my two sons were growing up, especially after they daddy died, how I tried hard to bring them up right. I'm proud of my sons, and how good they are at being fathers to their own children. We can only give them what we can, and then they have to learn from their own experiences, as we did. So long as they have good in their hearts and know right from wrong, as told in Jesus' teaching, they will grown up fine. This poem is a delight to read, I loved the ending. Beautiful, my friend. Love and hugs. Sandra xxxx

Thank you so much. I chose the ending late, because It did not seem complete. I am so happy that I did, I think that maybe I was led or directed to do so. Again, thank you for your great comments.

Very well written poem, excellent in theme and concept of individual responsibility and choice-making. The desire of all Christian parents is that their children follow the Lord, and yet they have to make their own decisions. A lovely end, as the grandson is welcomed with much love, many years later. Hopefully the whole family was reunited. Interesting and different. Well written.

Thank you Wendy. I chose to make the ending somewhat incomplete so that the reader could decide for themselves what the final outcome should be.

This is really good. It's humorous, detailed, and obvious-lee required some creative thought. The book of Proverbs in the Bible, warns against women with Jezebel like ways. This story/poem was fun to read.

Should I even try to critique such a wise man. Oh, what the h...? Do you really need "just" on line seven. Seems superfluous as I read it, and the second half of line eight seems not quite right. Still, I love everything written herein. Be well, my FanStroy friend.

Nicely written. Good rhythm. I like the way you have gone through the storyline, You reflected a piece of life, its fears, and its triumph, in a most natural way. The surprise, at the end, was indeed a surprise...and a lovely one too.
A worthy presentation my brother.
Well done.
