I feel ya' - my brain has been rebelling the last few days. The urge to write is strong, and I know there's a good story hiding between the grey folds, but the darned thing will not be released onto the page! You did a great job with this - it's fun and inventive, but still brings across the point. Also, when things aren't working, why not write about things not working?

Sometimes I simply can't write, I think I've got something, but then I wrote two lines and I'm stumped, most times I have two lines and then it just flows onto the page, my advice, .(if needed) would be to let it lie and come back. Beautifully written, with a purposeful repeating line, well done, blessings Roy

Dear Mystery Writer,
Oh, yes! I so agree! There are so many folks on here that make it look easy - when we all know that it really is not. *smile*
I thought this was a lovely poem we could all sink our teeth into - and totally understand. The theme was very clever! Thanks and good luck!

I have to give this a six! I pick a prompt and I agonise over it for hours. Then I have to choose the correct pic to accompany it. Then I pick it to bits in case I've missed something. Then I get disqualified because I haven't "perfectly" rhymed my words. I find this out the next morning because I've been asleep on the other side of the world. Ah well back to the drawing board. I loved the sentiment behind this post, because your paper littered floor looks just like mine! Well written and oh, so true.

The lesson in becoming an established writer is a dedicated person who stays up until early morning. I like your poem because it proves the hardships we have when writing a great poem or story.

I feel your plight. Some nights are like that; others not even close. But plow on we must or we will never reap the harvest vested in our souls. and that's the truth.

Excellent entry for the Repetition writing prompt contest. The rhymes do not seem forced and your poem flows well. It draws upon emotions and it presents strong images. Good luck in the contest.
