I think your story might not meet eligibility requirements. The rules call for a short story of 280 'characters'--not 280 words.
Also, you may want to vary your sentence structure a bit more. Too many sentences begin with either 'She' of 'Her'. It gets monotonous. Just one man's opinion.

Hi there,

I think this one might need rethought. You've written a 280 word piece but that's not what the contest calls for. It's 280 characters -

A character is any letter, number, space, punctuation mark, or symbol that can be typed. The word "computer," for example, consists of eight characters. The phrase "Hi there." takes up nine characters.

The wordage is much shorter and variable depending on how much punctuation and spaces there are.
