Hello author, very good, very cute Limerick. I especially liked:

Through the hole fell down
Landing on his crown
That is now why he wears a big hat.

A fun poem that made me smile. Keep the blue waters flowing.

This is cute. Thank goodness for his big hat. I like the colors. My dad's birthday would have been on St. Patrick's Day. My deceased husband was Irish. Had they not taken the O away, I would have been Carolyn O'Dooley.
Thank you for the cute post.

The metre is a bit bumpy here but I love the sentiments of your Limerick and there is much fun and naughtiness in this little poem, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

This was a cute limerick. The form was adhered to well and brought the humor with it. The picture picked also went well with it. Loved the lesson about the blarney stone at the end.

The poem was cute and humorous. I applaud someone who can come up with prose full of humor. I, sadly cannot. I can never think of anything. My prose is always very dark. You did a great job.

Hi Shannon Thank you for your review and positive comments re my writing
Can you tell me how I could improve this from an average rating as your comments don?t seem to reflect your rating if it was cute and humorous and I did a great job

Of course I know St Pat is not an ?animal? but entered this before I really looked at the limerick requirement lol

Hi there,

I can assure you, wholeheartedly, that leprechauns are in no way, shape or form, animals.

St. Patrick was also not Irish... lol

I'm actually walking part of the St. Patrick's trail later today. It's not that big a chore, I live right by some of it! lol

Nice little piece, but no animals...

All the best
GMG

Hi GMG Thanks for your review and please forgive my ignorance which I have since revised lol. Didn?t know St Patrick was in fact British but became an Irish Bishop and died on 17th March ( Hence St Pats day is celebrated) ( I googled him)
I didn?t mean to offend either , and when I wrote the Limerick in my haste, failed to see it was a supposed to be a limerick about an animal but then a little too late posted without noticing ha ha
Maybe I tried to stretch the truth a little too far making St Pat a leprechaun ??
Should I keep it in the contest or withdraw as not to offend anyone or will I be ?forgiven?
    enjoy your walk
    Cheers
