Will our spirits walk together in that land of love and light?
I too ask my late husband that, but, we live in hope that that is true and we will be reunited with out loved ones spirits, one day. An emotional free verse, and I think the perfect form for this write, where you were able to let your emotions flow. Good luck in the contest.

Your poem stabbed at my heart when I read your author's notes. These two lines are so poignant;
'To share secrets and stories. To remember the past.
You left so quickly. I had no chance to say goodbye.'
I lost my mum when she was only 60 years old. She died suddenly from a heart attack and I too never had a chance to say goodbye or talk to her about her past. Thanks for sharing and dwell on the good memories. Franky

Thank you so much Frankie. I am so sorry for your loss. Sixty is so very young. I lost mine when she was seventy three and still wasn?t prepared. My deepest sympathies.

I've always liked the idea of permanent relationships, which, when I was young were dependant on hormonal fluctuations, but now that I'm older I've got a number of of good, solid friends, this is beautifully written my friend, well done, blessings Roy

I lost my dad a few years back and still miss him greatly. I am lucky to still have my 90-year-old mom. We celebrated her birthday a few weeks ago. I know she's getting older. We live 16 hours apart, but I talk with her daily. Thank you for sharing.
