I love the twist at the end. Here she sabotaged the dinner plans and it turns out the man she had been admiring from afar was her date.
The ending was a total surprise but a very fun one.
Good luck in the contest.
Best wishes

Uh-oh, hopefully that stew won't make it onto the table and Letha thinks of an excuse to eat out. An entertaining twist makes your well written story an enjoyable read.

I see no infraction for violence. Nice writing GS. Smooth all the way with a surprise ending I wager no one saw coming. Thanks for participating. ......................................

If she has half a brain, she will tell him she accidentally spilled too much hot sauce into the stew. Accidents happen. You did a really good job of making her out to be a very disappointed lady who turns to villainy.

This is a very well written short story you have penned for the Make Us Smile contest. That did not turn out the way I thought it would. You kept us guessing from start to finish. I enjoyed reading this. Blessings, Teri

Yeah. I'd say that is going to be one hot date. Is that way they mean about Karma? She deserved it for trying so hard to chase the guy away from her friend. You did make me smile.

This was very good. This story certainly made me smile, and laugh. All of that trouble "Letha" went though to destroy "Tillie's" date was written well in this story. The end of this story really a good twist, being a blind date for "Letha." I really enjoyed this story.

Ah, the green-eyed monster is hung by its own petard again. A very nicely told cautionary tale. I caught on to the ending by the second splash of Fire Starter. Being a fan of the ironic, I tend, always, to be on the lookout. Even so, it didn't impede my enjoyment one bit.
Best of luck at the polls.
Peace, Lee
