This is a charming poem set in simple, plain language. Yet, it's a metaphor. And a very cleverly composed one too. The first two verses speak of a young person setting out on Life's journey. The third verse tells of being "misled, betrayed and deceived"
along "eroded, rocky paths". The next verse tells of a triumphant journey's end where the traveller reaches the mountain peak and "faces the rising sun". The last verse rounds the poem off beautifully
with words of wisdom and philosophy. This is a delightful piece . Well done. cheers Cass

Comment from Anne Johnston
"Created in His image and
for all eternity.
To love, obey and follow Him
and claim our destiny."
Beautiful picture and beautiful poem, great rhyming and such a great message. Our life consists of mountain peaks and valleys, but the Lord is there in both. Reminded me of a song: "The God of the mountains is still God in the valley, and the God of the good times is still God in the bad."

Comment from Jesse James Doty
I love the descriptions of the first two verses then from then on it talks of deceit and betrayal and all that jazz. Thanks for sharing your faith while describing the best kept secret of the world. The rocky paths of the Twin peaks! Traverse with nature, and you will see both heaven and eternity!
Take care,
Jesse
