I rather like the speaking as if for the ears of one person, but yet sharing this with the world in a sense, almost like whispered melody, this is so lovely Karen, well done, a delicate, verbal emblem of intimacy, beautifully done my friend, blessings Roy

Thank you, Roy. I sense we are all sea glass, in a sense. Battered and discarded by mankind yet burnished and made precious a thousand times a thousand, by a greater love. If we are lost, as amethyst sea glass, we shall be found. If we are searching... We must stay the path! --Karenina

One different step, One missed wave, and this beauty may never be, OH to look and to take notice of where we are, one could read this many times-I think the outcome may very slightly differ, but the message would be firm, an excellent read, very well written****kahpot

Indeed. We should not linger in despair at this path or that... The treasure we seek will find us!
Many thanks!

We find gems on our shores, whether they be physical shells or precious stones, or memories, we take something with us after our visit, you brought the experience to life here in your free-write Karenina, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Every human interaction is a metaphorical shore... We find precisely what we open our hearts to. I wish you treasures all the days of your life!
Thank you, Karenina

Stupendous! Brilliantly written. At once a romantic poem about love between two lovers and a spiritual poem between the author and the Creator. There are some beautiful images in this piece, which express the wonder of improbable and urgent love. Indeed, "there, there" expresses that urgency and ache and awe at being found by the lover. Romance and willing submission and awe at a glorious fate seep from every word in this poem. So powerfully emotional. Well done, my friend!!!!! I hope you personally have experienced that love. To write this, you must have been blessed with this joy. Take care.

Thank you, oh poet who gifts us with such brilliant verse! Indeed, all love flows through our God... How beautifully improbable the paths He sets us on! It is no secret how inspired I am by your genius..
You have gently coaxed me to take down my walls of structured meter and rhyme. I embrace the joy and improbability of life! I could not have found the words without you. Truly!
Six stars are lovely, but you had me at "Stupendous!!" You take care as well, my friend! Wishing you amethyst days always!--K

This is wonderfully touching with the depth of a premiere writer at its helm. This heartfelt love affair you have with sea glass is moving beyond compare. I love it all but especially the last four verses where you write Caressed in your palm a prism of seven colors radiates the rainbow arc of our improbability...Possess me, Slip me in your pocket...So I may rest, with glorious abandon, made precious by your touch.
Such romantic and love-filled feelings have never been so well described in recent history.
The author's notes quoting e.e. cummings is the topper to the whole thing.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful poetry with me.

Oh Jesse! I am so pleased you enjoyed this one! I find sea glass to be a lovely message...broken manmade glass, turned beautiful by the wild seas! To think we all possess that beauty! First? We must realize we are worthy! Thank you so much, my friend, for the six stars and for always inspiring me!

Hello Karenina!
Yes, we are all worthy, just as sea glass shines its beauty, so can we. But, we must first realize this idea. The six stars showed how worthy your poem was.

Wow! Six-worthy and it's only Thursday! I can't wait to review later.
Thank you for sharing the ecstasy of the connection with the right one. On one level, it could just be the magic of life - the fingerprint of God in all things. But the sea glass seems much more as it rejoices in being picked by the one adoring one. So I'm going with that magic of love found - out of ten thousand beach possibilities to rejoice in the "rainbow arc of our improbability..."

Thanks, Helen! Indeed, this could well be the love of our Creator! I do think all love is born of Him! I have decanter a of sea glass upon shelves in my home... Something about nature turning broken glass to treasure has always spoken to me! And the amethyst glass is the rarest to find! What a wonderful review!
I appreciate you, always...

This was very beautiful and appeased a nautical lover in me. I love the sea imagery fanatically and you really presented a gorgeous picture. Stunning romantic imagery and visuals. Your words take a reader to this fairytale place, at the sea, the land of amethyst glass.
These stood out:
Amethyst glass, hardly wide as a quarter...
made new by the press of your thumb
slowly stroking bits of sand away...
I don't see you writing free verse often, this was beautifully done.

Never. But I'd like to. Alvin, my companion on sea trips, is gone...
