I've read most of your challengers and as now favor this piece over them. ......................................................................................................................................

It's a great closing line to conclude the poem especially the final words 'nothing feigned' having taken a look back at a life well lived with the many peaks and troughs which we all must experience on life's path

Hi!
What a very sensitive and
compelling write. I'm in my
60's, and time sure has passed quickly. My very
best wishes for the upcoming
Contest. All the best. ~

Thanks very much for your comments. (I'm nearly 69... it seems while my body is slowing down, time is speeding up!)

Hello fellow writer a good day to you. I hope this review finds you well. As a poet/writer it is always interesting to see the different takes on these contest/writing prompts. I think your take is definitely a good one. Hopefully so will others, good job and good luck in the contest.

This should be a strong contest entry. I like that you look back reflectively with an open mind, accepting that there were good and bad moments, which together draw a picture of life, in my opinion, well-lived and filled with character-building experiences. I don't believe there are wrong paths through life, just different paths, and it's how we accept our decisions that give us strength and character. Of course we all have regrets, and we will always wonder how different things might have been, but I sense acceptance of your lot in your poem. We're all different, and all special. And there's nothing wrong with aging. Every wrinkle is an experience. I loved this poem. Thanks for sharing.

The true image of ourselves is portrayed in the mirror, whether it is spinning or still, young love should stay as young love and as we grow should turn into true love, what an intriguing and wonderful read, very well written and best wishes for your contest****kahpot
