Baseball... the All-American pastime of so many.... or at least once it was. When my Mom passed, I found family photos of my Mom and her two sisters on a girl's team in the late 1930s... My straight-laced Mom played baseball. Didn't everyone? Now our kids have lost the special flavor and bury their noses in media. They missed so much!

Being from the UK and female, baseball remains largely a mystery to me. However, I feel competent to review this, to tell you that it is well-written, and that you have painted a vivid word-picture of happy boys from simpler times, when growing up was a noisy joyful communal affair of being outdoors. Interestingly (to me) for boys it ALWAYS involved balls, of one size or another. Kate xx

Being from the UK and female, baseball remains largely a mystery to me.
