A great expression, reminds me of someone I knew too, that smiled. The recall was refreshing to my memory, because whatever the circumstance she would smile. A super read in my given opinion.

Obviously, she was a great person. Nothing seemed to bother her. The picture is great. Sounds like she was a special person. Thank you for your loving poem. Have a great day. I enjoyed reading this poem.

How better to be remembered than one who smiles... your poem is precious and touching. She also loved nature and was a giver, volunteering to help others. Your poem says a lot about why you loved her for so long. I enjoyed this immensely and wish you many votes in this contest.

Every photograph tells a story and you have done an excellent job for your entry in Memories writing prompt. I have loved gardening myself but I had given it up because of back, neck and shoulder pain. But I still do some light work in my garden. It's hard to give up completely something that someone loves to do. Good luck in the contest. Ver

A very nice memory of your wife. That last picture of her adds a great deal to the poem. What do you think about changing the last line to "And I smiled"?

Thank you for your kind review and suggestion about the last line. It is a good suggestion. What I was trying to communicate with the last line was that she would smile because that is the way she wanted me to remember her.

very moving and poignant tribute to a love one. I see the love shining through the gloom of the poem mourning her lost passion for gardening. like the refrains

A fine tribute to your late wife and it is filled with admiration and love for her as she had a smile for everyone. How wonderful and happy she was, a joy to read, love Dolly x

It sounds like the fact that she was happy in her garden is the most important thing to you and your memories of her. Getting back to the earth seems to give strength back to you. 44 years is pretty good going, congratulations, Giddy

It is clear that you have observed this person and this person is a very well mannered person. This person also seems to be hardworking and always has the heart of a powerful person. Have a great week!
