A poignant and chilling write about what is happening in Ukraine and you are right to pray for those people as they will need our prayers. I can't imagine my country being invaded, although it has been close to it in the past. Is history repeating itself Paul, and should be all be worried? During the 1970's terrorism in Britain came close to my door when a pub I used to frequent was bombed by the IRA in Birmingham, killing many people. I was shocked and frightened, I can't imagine what the Ukrainian people are feeling or what their future holds. I am appalled along with the rest of the world by what has happened. A fine sonnet with good metre and rhyme and I wish you luck with the sonnet contest, may the best man win! I have run out of sixes, but if I had one, I would give it to you, love Dolly x

Living in Europe we could easily be involved in a war, I certainly hope it doesn?t come to that though x x x

This is a very interesting take of current events. Some of this is true, but some is not or things are missing. I have no doubt some of this:
They feel the heavy hand of Russia's might.
Their hearts are filled with fear, but they remain.
For freedom from oppression they will fight.
The Russian horde is marching in the street.
The citizens await behind locked doors.
Outnumbered, they will not accept defeat,
but many have fled too. WE have seen them run and not just civilians. Who are not fighting for freedom. I'm not blaming them, but they did give up their nukes for money and promises.

I pray for Ukraine and the entire world, evil has ran rampant, especially in this decade. We definitely need divine intervention. God works miracles through people so I pray all evil is destroyed.

Yes it is good to pray for them and any country tying not to be dominated by tyranny.
This is a well written sonnet ending with a strong image in the form of a quetion.
