Silly question, Roy. Is there any way of purchasing a copy of your musical history today. I did say purchase. Or maybe we could trade one of my published novels for a DVD.

Beautiful poem and beautiful testimony. I'd still like to hear more about that dramatic encounter with the Lord. Were you alone at the time? I love the way you and your little musical group toured. My husband had a excellent voice and my twins do as well. They have sung publicly a lot. The other two have good singing voices as well but don't sing in public. Don taught himself guitar. All three grandchildren are musical and also inherited my artistic ability..

this poem really speaks to me,royowen because i'm a musician also and had several band experience, plus a flute quartet and am now back at it :)
I really liked the part about writing to a metronome. I've never tried that but will when i get writing songs again.

Roy, although your poem made song writing look like an easy task, in reality, it is not. your poem reads and flows well and has good rhyming within. I especially liked:

a vision forms, (give all I've got)

An excellent poem, but the author's note is priceless. The poem and the picture made me flashback to the Chuck Wagon Gang, a favorite gospel group of my mother when I was growing up. So, they were a favorite group of mine as well. Great Poem, Great Story!
