I quite admire your sense of adventure. I wish I was that adventurous. I kind of like having a place to call home, although it would sure be fun to see more of this country and not have to pay for a lousy hotel room. The country has changed so much, I'd be afraid to go to some states. I'd probably say the wrong thing to the wrong person and end up in jail. Well done on your poem. Have fun traveling.
Blessings
Tom

Tom, I might have a sense of adventure, but I did not go to Alaska to work on a farm for 10 years? Wow! I went to the oilfields in West Texas two summers, and to the Navy for awhile, but Alaska in winter? Thanks for stopping by! By the way, RV parks are pretty easy places to get along. Most everybody is older so the moods and booze don't get too rowdy. Many are veterans, so there is a peo-America mood to the place anyway. My wife and I just admitted one day that we were bored. We will try it til we are ready to settle again. At 74, I am sure I won't do anything for very long!

I enjoyed your poem but enjoyed your author notes even more. My family and my husbands family used to camp often. Unfortunately, with my dads health rapidly declining we haven't been able to go as much as we once did. We tell our daughter all the time that family and living are much more important than what you have in the bank.
Thank you for sharing. Many blessings to you

If I touched your heart, I have had a good day. If I made you smile, that- s even better! Thanks for your nice note.

But, I over looked your dad's health. I was not thinking. I am the father of daughters and we have a close bond too.Beat wishes for his recovery.

There's definitely a special bond between a daddy and his daughter. I'm a daddy's girl through and through. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's so the prognosis isn't great. But I do appreciate your well wishes

Not sure what happened to my note to you. We old baby boomers should stick to dial phones... But, I lost my dad and my mother to "dementia" - not sure how that differs from Alzheimer's cause it sure seemed the same. I was whining one day that if those things are hereditary, I was worried about my own future. That was a decade ago and my wife answered, "Don't worry. I'm probably going to shoot you long before it sets in!" It is good to have somebody who loves me close by...
