' Unknown Destiny ', is an exceptionally well-written and delightfully descriptive piece. Penned with craft and skill. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to read and review. I look forward to seeing your next posting.

I loved the concept of penning a poem about the lives of people who cross my path, that just seem to be going in unending circles - arrivign nowhere.

Steps to nowhere beg the question why, and you made me smile with your explanations of vacant meadows and paths to infinity. I have not head of this form before and you certainly were inventive with it here, love Dolly x

Smiling, I often cross paths with people who simply seem to be spinning around in circles seemingly going no where

I am from India but I never knew about Ghazal's poetic style. We know that people are singing Ghazal nad Bhajan but you are the first to enlighten us on this famous poetic style. Thanks for sharing this beautiful English Ghazal, Kit.

Your words are lovely, the form perplexed me... I fear I'd make a mess of it, but can certainly appreciate when someone else grasps the rules and runs with them!

You did a good job with a style that few know. However, you handled it with perfection. Your words flow smoothly, the rhymes are located in the correct places, and your message is clear. Your repeating phrase adds emphasis to your theme of going nowhere.
Respectfully. Jan

You're so adventuresome with your poetic journey, Jim! I remember years ago, there was a poet here who wrote a lot of these ghazal poems. I like the echoing of the "nowhere" while still moving forward and giving us a feeling of the spiritual goals in life.

Thank you very much! So often, I run across people who feel as though they are running in circles to get to nowhere when they are somewhere that they simply don't stop to appreciate.

A wise observation! Sometimes, it's just our mindset that imprisons us.

How fascinating Jim, you've managed it, the refrain is perfect for the poetic form, how clever people are to think up these clever pieces of written forms that challenge the mind, more than that, the soul to adjust, beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

Oh, I enjoyed your Ghazal, Jim. You really mastered that form. I have written a few of them about three years ago when I found Shadow Poetry and perused the site. I use it often to get inspired. Your rhyming words were perfect. An enjoyable read.
