I am unsure "rookie" what it is you are attempting to say. There are thoughts herein of great value. I simply can say, I never found a rhythm to this piece. Good luck.

This poem, Good Deal, is a puzzler for me. It is rife with great phrasing, and imaging, but there doesn't seem to be a direction. I read a grouping of alliterative lines, creative pairings of verbs and phrases, but they seem to be floating in this framework with no definitive message for us.
