The jury's out on this Octelle form as I have seen it written in so many different ways with different metres and I couldn't detect any metre in your version, but I loved the sentiment here as we rely on our senses to smell a rat and emotional feelings give us a sense of reality and we rely on our gut instinct to make decisions, an unusual and quirky poem, love Dolly x

Hi these cliche have been here for donkey years and used too. They come handy all the time.
