Carol,

Oh, my stars, you are an evil woman. I had no idea you would do something like this. Which obviously goes to exactly what I said in our last exchange. Every girl dreams of Romeo and white knights who ride up and save them and then immediately sweeeeeep them away to a magical life lived happily ever after. But you have to put the brakes on things -- eeerrrkkkkkk! And make every reader go, 'HHUUUUHHH!!????'

On the other hand, you're staying completely true to the character you've built of Alie. I mean, if I'd really thought about it, I would have said, "Really? She's just going to give everything up? That exciting life where she makes every decision in her life and picks up and goes anywhere she wants on a moment's notice - and answers to no one?" Yeah, YOUR WAY makes more sense, it just never occurred to me.

Nice chapter - good writing - super intriguing. I'm moving on, myself -- there's always more for me to try to catch up on! Thanks!!

Hi Carol, I've fallen so much behind because of all my computer problems. I still want to keep up with this story.
The dialogue was spot on. I really liked it. She must be crazy to have so many doubts. Hugs, Ulla :)))

Don't worry...I've fallen behind as well. Yes, Allie can't decide on what should be her priority and how bad she wants it... I think now might be the time she has to delve deep inside and discover love over a driving urge to be king of the hill.

I can't believe how many posts you read in a row. How awesome are you!!!!

I am getting slower by the second and every time I think I have a handle on being polite and telling everyone how much their efforts and words mean to me (truly mean to me) I discover I have just fallen further behind. I appreciate that people actually enjoy what spills from my aging brain and couldn't find more happiness than sharing my writing. I thank you for your time and thoughts.

Sending a basket of smiles and hugs and apologies... especially to those I've left waiting for days.

    HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
May cupid sprinkle you with much joy!

    Always, Carol

I don't like romance. am referring to this chapter only, but your dialogue was so natural, I had to read to the end. Perhaps I should have started with first chapter, assuming by the ending 2 paragraphs, this is more crime/mystery than romance.

Good Job...Is the novel finished?

Hello, Jeff. I thank you for stopping by to read my post. This novel and the other three prior are mystery and crime. I have to toss a little romance in now and then to please everyone and this proposal has been expected throughout all the stories. And actually the story is only beginning and the stages have been set with the action yet to come. I appreciate your many stars and kindness and hope you might consider following the story.

I'll certainly keep an eye out. I love mystery and crime. I was only referring to what I read...

First, I'm shocked Garth did not wake Allie. If Garth doesn't call in his team, know that dangerous men are watching the winery with his love and other in it, then I am lost. Garth has to be armed, and maybe others. An FBI agent would not simply follow a criminals demands on the phone. I can' wait to see what happens next.

You, my friend, are too much on your toes, about our cowboy. This isn't his first rodeo and he knows after being warned in town twice that it's probably a set up. The trap is probably set, but for whom? LOL

Garth has become very guarded over Allie since almost losing her and discovering how much a part of his life she is. He wouldn't let her know of something like this going down, I don't think.

Ah, looks like things are going to get complicated before it gets resolved. The missing cowboy and the missing ring will probably fix Allie's priorities and then she'll be more certain about marrying him.

Oh, no. Garth never received the warnings, and now he's going out alone in the middle of the night. Allie will be devastated if anything happens to him. Great chapter. Definitely looking forward to the next. Blessings. Carol

It's easy to get behind on this site. I'm working now for church, so I'm thinking I'm never going to be totally caught up. One step at a time.

What a terrible ending!!!!! What is Garth going to be walking into? I don't know if it's a good or bad thing that he doesn't know Allie has handed his ring back. She will wake up thinking he kniows, and neither of them will know where the ring is!
I wish Allie had listened to Liz's last bit of advice. Now to see what is going on with Garth. And I have another part to read!! :)) Sandra xxxx

I knew you were not going to be happy with this one... Allie thinks being "king of the hill" will give her forever happiness...Unfortunately, she might never get the chance to discover how wrong she is. And the roller coaster ride begins!

Thanks so much for the wonderful review. Hope you are having a good day. I send smiles and hugs and lots of love, Carol

Congratulations on topping the list with your new book. Awesome!

This is a very well written chapter and, in my opinion, one of the best so far. I wish I had more sixes left. I thought the end hook worked really well. Thank you for sharing and have a nice day.

Just what I suspected. Allie wasn't ready to commit. Her priorities became clear. Feeling for Garth. And now he is in extreme danger - and he doesn't know her thinking. She won't know that he doesn't know she gave the ring back. So many complications!! can't wait for the next, although I bet it will take them quite some time to sort themselves out! Well written

Good morning, Wendy. I think Allie will regret her thoughts but will lit be soon enough to save their relationship?

I think it must be a geographical thing, but in the USA and Webster dictionary, it says lounge. But thank you for checking me...I am always making dumb mistakes. It says Australians say lounge. Yopu know like tomato or tomato, "tom-ah-to" is the more British pronunciation, and "tom-ay-to" is the more American.
