Carol,
Not one bit of it. But - if he can remain patient, I feel sure that proposal is going to happen. Not sure what YOU plan to throw at them, though. You do seem to take great pleasure in that. Naughty! (But good!)

Hmm, this is written very well. Although, I feel funny about Tango and Poppa not immediately taking a woman who has been beaten and can't remain awake to the hospital. If she dies on them, they are done.
Also, isn't Allie too smart not to know Garth is about to purpose?

They had immediate plans for her care, and actually, the time in the house was short...maybe I should have stressed that more. thanks for the review.

Well, things are moving along. I don't think I like Father Tobias. I'm not sure why, maybe he's too righteous in his opinion of himself. I can't wait for chapter 12!

I don't like Father Tobias either. His character is based on a priest who happened to see my son filming his latest movie God's Not Here and without knowing the truth behind the film, he got quite rude.

Unfortunately, there are pastors of every domination who have that same attitude. They are the ones who turn people off.

Garth is sure having a tough time proposing to his gal. You sure must spend a lot of time writing. I can't imagine how you turn these chapters out so fast. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. Just amazed.

Good morning and thank you! If my brain is firing on all cylinders in the early morning, I am fortunate that the stories seem to flow without much effort, but during the day it becomes a struggle (too many distractions with great-grandchildren). I am pleased that you are enjoying it as much as I enjoy writing it.

This continues on to become a great book. All of the twists back and baiting our hooks and making us wait. It makes the next chapter even more exciting Great job!

I'm worried. I don't trust Father Tobias. Why am I so fearful of Garth not being able to propose to Allie? I think it's going to be a long time before he's able too. LOL I really like this story.

I don't trust him either...I believe the church went from covering up a very bad situation to putting one in who has only one holier than thou opinion. WE shall see.

You're doing an excellent job of setting things up for the rest of the story, Carol. I love the banter between Poppa and Tango, and Tango giving Annie a title and job to keep her from revealing the secret. I feel sorry for Garth that his proposal was interrupted. Well written. Looking forward to more.

I hope Garth's love and Allie's confusion can withstand the upcoming turmoil. And Annie...she's a child trying to be a grown up. Hopefully she doesn't tell the wrong people.

Cooking on the back burner isn't one of those places we like to be. But it teaches us patient, as long as we don't let it blow over and make a fool of ourselves. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Anne is a determined little girl, but she liked the idea of being a secret agent. I'm beginning to think, as much as Allie lover Garth, she might be uncomfortable with being married to him. Only you know he answer to that. I am wondering if Father Tobias is a good guy, or not. I love your story and I glad you keep reusing the many of the same characters.

(, and then he said, ) (.) In my opinion, opting this out makes it sound crispier.
Great chapter but needs a bit more tightening up. Thank you for sharing.
