Oh dear, yes, it does seem to be hardwired into boys to create noise. That photo is priceless... (although it should be poor mom who is pictured getting deafened by all the noise!) An entertaining and all-too-true posting.

You have met the syllable count for this contest. I really like the first two lines. And the picture is perfect. The third line doesn't seem to fit. It does rhyme, which is a plus. How does toys fit with boys and noise?

Yes, I can bear witness of that, we have four very loud grandsons, whereas I had two daughters who were pretty gentle, and I came with three brothers and a sister, so yes, boys are noisy. Beautifully written 1/6/1, good rhyming, and good luck, blessings Roy

The picture chosen to accompany your 1-6-1 is perfect. My neighbor had three young sons and the noise they made playing was horrendous. Your poem conveys this point very well in only eight syllables. Rod
