So true, the robins love the berries and your 5-7-5 brings their plight alive and is a tribute to the red berries too, much enjoyed Laurie, food for thought, love Dolly x

Thanks, Dolly!

Beautyberries! Is that their botanological name, Laurie? Or did the Red Robins conceive of it for your poem? 5-7-5's are so very hard to write. (I stopped writing them when my brain would keep me awake at night counting syllables.) Still, when your perfect image rises like a mist out of your serandipitous numbering ... it's a special moment. I suspect you had one here!

Hi, Jay. Yes, Purple Beautyberries are an actual thing, believe it or not, and they're still out there in this freezing world of Pittsburgh, PA. As you know, my witch book is centered on plants, so I do a lot of research and take photos everywhere for Maddie and Sedona's Instagram account. Haha! We all have our quirky things we do every day, right? I hope you're well and I think of you every time I sit down at DuoLingo!
