A wonderful poem of faith. I sometimes fear for those I know who do not embrace and have faith in God.

I pray there is always hope for those who have gone wayward... I believe there is. To my bones I can't believe God ever created anyone to be a "bad tree" -- Never too late to be saved! You say it well in your author's notes:
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by have ye been saved through faith: and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Not by works lest any man should boast.

God wants us all to grasp faith's realm,
to wear trust's robes and wear hope's helm.
His favour comes to those that wait,
and rest and trust in mercy's fate.
The stanza after this one sealed the deal. Thank you for sharing. Today's poems meant a lot.

This poem is true. Good works one save you but if you are saved you will automatically do good works because that becomes you second nature. We will follow whatever rules are God's rules, not to be saved, but because we are.
